What is a complete hydrogen system?
A modular complete hydrogen system consists of several coordinated components for the production, storage and use of green hydrogen directly on site. It typically comprises an electrolyzer for hydrogen production, a pressurized or liquid storage tank and a fuel cell or other utilization unit, e.g. for heat or process energy supply.
Can the hydrogen also be used for refueling?
Yes, refueling takes place via an integrable H₂ filling station directly on the company premises, comparable to a conventional diesel filling station. Depending on the size of the vehicle, the refuelling time is only a few minutes, which significantly increases the operational readiness of the fleet and minimizes charging breaks.
Which vehicles is hydrogen suitable for?
Hydrogen is particularly suitable for vehicles with a long range, short refueling times or frequent use – such as vans, trucks, industrial trucks (such as forklift trucks), buses or tractors. Hydrogen is an attractive alternative to battery solutions, especially for heavy goods vehicles, as charging times are eliminated and the weight is lower.
Is the system also economical for smaller fleets?
Yes, the system can pay for itself from just a few vehicles with regular use, especially if you use your own PV systems for power supply. Thanks to its modular design, it can be adapted to actual requirements and expanded later if necessary
Can other energy requirements in the company also be covered?
Yes – in addition to vehicle refueling, the hydrogen produced can also be used for stationary applications, for example to generate electricity or heat in halls, offices or workshops. In this way, the system becomes a holistic energy system for the entire site.
What advantages does the system offer over battery-electric solutions?
